1.Double-tiered blue silk with multicolor embroidery along hem. This is my favorite.
2. Blue yucky silk with striped silk bow-thing.
3. Silk pouf skirt with striped zig-zag shapes. (not too proud)
I'm sorry I don't have more "fashion" descriptions.
How funny that as I'm writing my first "outfit" style post I am listening to the song "The General Specific" by Band of Horses, the inspiration for this blog's title. It's not that much of a coincidence I must admit though, because lately I am listening to this song at most times.
I have spent much of my dwindling time in this country (before Vietnam of course) with my family in rural wisconsin. New Year's Eve consisted of champagne with my parents in our pajamas, my neck is constantly sore from snow mobiling, and I can't sleep past 9 am because our dogs spend all morning every morning barking at the ice fisherman on the lake in our front yard. I have enjoyed myself thoroughly of course, but there hasn't been too much to do aside from watch Bones (my dad and my favorite show) and read blogs. Thank goodness my mother owns an incredible (and somewhat easily portable) sewing machine. My mom taught me the basics months ago so I came with fabric and I few ideas and set to work. I didn't get too creative, I'm still a beginner. I made myself a few skirts for Vietnam and beyond. And now that I know how things work, I have sooo many more ideas. (I have a folder on my desktop called: "things to make. things to wear.")
P.S. Forgive my silly expressions, taking pictures of myself is new. Also forgive the quality of the photos, at this point all I have is my macbook because my camera is at home.
P.P.S. Along forgive layout mistakes like pictures and text in funky places. I really don't know how to work this thing yet.
